Pineland Plantation is a beautiful recreational property and lies in one of the best hunting areas in South Carolina. In the early 1700's settlers came to the area because of its abundant fish and wildlife and proximity to the ocean. The land was also good for farming and especially timber production. Plantations were established near the coast and along the east side of the Savannah River. The Pineland Plantation was established in 1805.
The Pineland Plantation is surrounded by other hunting and timber properties.
The area is known for its outstanding hunting for quail, dove, turkeys and world-class white-tail deer.
Fishing is excellent for both fresh and salt-water species.
Other plantations in the Savannah River corridor include Groton, Ivanhoe, Gravel Hill, Erwinton, Bo Peep, Woodside, and Belmont.
